Chemicals & dangerous goods · Dedicated UK transport

Chemical industry courier.

The right transport starts with the consignment classification.

Chemical-industry deliveries need the contents, quantities and packaging assessed before transport is confirmed. RGP Trans provides ADR transport assessment with in-house Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser support for suitable consignments. Classes 1 and 7 are excluded. Send the relevant classification information before a collection is arranged.

THE GOODS, IN PRACTICE

What needs moving?

Typical examples to help describe your enquiry. Acceptance and handling are confirmed for the actual load.

Packaged chemical products

Provide the product and classification details for assessment.

Industrial aerosols and supplies

Declare the contents and quantities before acceptance.

Palletised packages

Confirm total weight and loading equipment at both ends.

THE CONSIGNMENT

Give the actual goods information

Identify the product and supply the relevant dangerous-goods details and documentation for assessment. Include quantities, package type, dimensions and total weight. Do not assume that a familiar trade product is unrestricted. Acceptance, driver and equipment requirements depend on the individual consignment and must be confirmed by the team.

THE RECEIVING PLAN

Prepare the receiving and loading plan

Give warehouse contacts, access times and unloading arrangements at both addresses. Describe any site induction or delivery restrictions. Sealed containers still need suitable packaging and securing. Do not send leaking or damaged packages without discussing their condition; a standard quote does not confirm that an unsuitable package can be carried.

FROM ENQUIRY TO HANDOVER

A delivery plan that fits the job.

Start with the goods-ready time and the latest useful arrival. We assess the route, vehicle and agreed handling together, then confirm availability and the quote. A one-off delivery does not require an account.

Keep the collection and receiving contacts reachable. Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery help your team follow the movement and record the handover. If the load or access changes, tell us before dispatch so the plan can be checked.

Before you book

What do you need to quote this delivery?

Send the collection and delivery postcodes, packed dimensions, total weight, quantity and timing. Include the contacts and access instructions at both addresses. For chemicals & dangerous goods, explain the specific handling requirements described above so we can assess the actual movement.

Can I pay by card?

Yes, RGP Trans accepts card payments. Ask the team for payment instructions when confirming the agreed quote. Your booking details and payment arrangements are confirmed with the team.

Is a same day collection guaranteed?

We aim to arrange collection within 60 minutes where possible, subject to location and a suitable vehicle being available. The team confirms the collection and delivery plan for your individual booking before dispatch.
